Measuring three meters in length and two meters in width, and weighing approximately twenty-one kilograms, it stands as a banner that fills the sight and commands the space, announcing itself with majesty and splendor. To this very day, it remains well preserved, its brilliance safeguarded across decades and the passing of years.

The curtain was produced between 1948 and 1951, in the middle of the twentieth century, when the bonds between men of religion and rulers were strong, and when noble descent was upheld as a standard of ancestral glory. Today, it stands seventy-seven years old, yet retains the vigor of its youth.

Its highest distinction lies in the noble act of presentation: it was gifted by His Eminence Sayyid Qawam al-Din al-Killidar al-Ridawi al-Mousawi al-Husseini al-Hashimi, Naqib (chief) of the Ashraaf of Samarra, custodian of the revered Al-Askari Shrine, and head of the Hashemite Al-Saleh lineage. This precious gift was offered to His Highness Sheikh Sultan II bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah in his time, as a bond of kinship, a noble covenant, and a testimony to the unity of sacred bloodlines and inherited majesty.

The content of the curtain is more splendid and richer than its material form:

• It bears inscribed the genealogical tree of the Al-Qawasim, tracing from Sheikh Sultan II bin Saqr back through a noble chain that reaches Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib and Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon them), passing through the Imams of the Prophet’s Household, descendants of al-Husayn, the Master of Martyrs.

• It is adorned with noble Qur’anic verses, affirming the blessed nature of this lineage.

• At its center is a unifying phrase: “A dynasty of sovereigns, a pure lineage”, a concise summation of the meanings scattered across its lines.

• It bears the flag of Sharjah prior to the Union, a political emblem significant to its time.

• Encircling its borders are the ninety-nine beautiful Names of Allah, as if divine guardianship itself enfolds it with light and reverence.

Thus, this curtain is not merely an object measured in length, width, or weight. It is a genealogical document proclaiming the honor of the Al-Qawasim, an artistic masterpiece revealing the craft of skilled hands, and a politico-religious testament chronicling the covenant between two noble houses: the Hashemites of Iraq and the Al-Qawasim of Sharjah.

Indeed, whoever contemplates it finds within it what one discovers in rare and precious books: a history to be narrated, a lineage to be preserved, an artistry to be admired, and a gift that immortalizes the bonds between people of sovereignty and honor.

ستار شجرة نسب القواسم الأشراف

هذه الستارة ليست مجرد قطعة قماش معلقة على جدار، ولا زينةً صُممت لتُبهج العيون فحسب. إنها سجلٌّ للأنساب، ومخطوطةٌ للمعنى، ومرآةٌ للتاريخ، وهديةٌ تُجسّد عظمةَ المُعطي وشرفَ المُتلقي.

يبلغ طوله ثلاثة أمتار وعرضه مترين، ويزن حوالي واحد وعشرين كيلوغرامًا، وهو شامخٌ يملأ الأرجاء ويهيمن على المكان، معلنًا عن عظمته وروعته. ولا يزال حتى يومنا هذا محفوظًا بجماله، محفوظًا بريقه عبر العقود والسنين.

صُنع الستار بين عامي ١٩٤٨ و١٩٥١، في منتصف القرن العشرين، حين كانت الروابط بين رجال الدين والحكام قوية، وحين كان يُعتزّ بالنسب النبيل رمزًا لمجد الأجداد. واليوم، يبلغ عمره سبعة وسبعين عامًا، إلا أنه لا يزال محتفظًا بحيوية شبابه.

وتكمن أهميتها في نبل تقديمها، إذ أهداها سماحة السيد قوام الدين الكليدار الرضوي الموسوي الحسيني الهاشمي ، نقيب أشراف سامراء، وراعي المرقد العسكري الجليل، ورأس سلالة آل صالح الهاشمية. وقد أُهديت هذه الهدية الثمينة إلى صاحب السمو الشيخ سلطان الثاني بن صقر القاسمي ، حاكم الشارقة في عصره، رابطًا بين الرحمة والعهد النبيل، وشاهدًا على وحدة السلالات المقدسة والجلال المتوارث.

إن محتوى الستارة أروع وأغنى من شكلها المادي:

• وقد نقش عليها شجرة نسب القواسم، ابتداء من الشيخ سلطان الثاني بن صقر مرورا بسلسلة شريفة تصل إلى الإمام علي بن أبي طالب والسيدة فاطمة الزهراء (عليهما السلام)، مرورا بأئمة أهل البيت من ذرية الحسين سيد الشهداء.

• وقد زُيِّن بالآيات القرآنية الكريمة التي تؤكد على طبيعة هذا النسب المبارك.

• وفي وسطها عبارة موحدة: "سلالة من الملوك، سلالة نقية" ، وهي تلخيص موجز للمعاني المنتشرة عبر سطورها.

• ويحمل علم الشارقة قبل الاتحاد، وهو شعار سياسي مهم في ذلك الوقت.

• وتحيط بها أسماء الله الحسنى التسعة والتسعون، وكأن الرعاية الإلهية نفسها تحيط بها بالنور والخشوع.

وهكذا، فإن هذا الستار ليس مجرد قطعة تُقاس بالطول أو العرض أو الوزن، بل هو وثيقة نسب تُشيد بشرف القواسم، وتحفة فنية تكشف عن براعة الأيدي الماهرة، ووصية سياسية دينية تُوثّق العهد بين بيتين شريفين: الهاشميون في العراق والقواسم في الشارقة.
